Work Description:
Installation of 187.5m of 1500mm Ø concrete pipes for the insertion of 9×250mm and 2×110mm uPVC pipes. Plastic pipes are then inserted into the jack provided, the voids between the pipes are grouted up and secured into place. Electrical cables are then pulled through the pipes provided and linked to the substations to sufficiently upgrade the power utility within the area.

Work Description:
Two rivers needed to be crossed in the Craighall Area for the installation of high voltage cables for the upgrading of the main electrical system in the area.
First River Crossing (Big River) - 67.5m x 1200mmØ,
Second River Crossing (Small River) - 50m x 1200mmØ.
Both crossings are in solid Granite rock, which requires both drilling & blasting operations in order to remove the material from the front of the jacking face.

Work Description:
Installation of Pipe Jackings ranging from 1200mm to 1800mm Ø all underneath roadways from Alberton to the Boksburg regions, Johannesburg.
Two jacking works which need mentioning include the R59 highway jack, whereby 95m of 1500mm Ø was jacked into position, as well as the N17 box culvert jacking operation, whereby special steel brackets were designed and manufactured to specially fit onto the steel pipes which were pulled through the currently installed box culvert. All works were conducted by the Pipe Jack crew.
